WOW BOB WOW!!! First ever vinyl edition of properly striking, complex and idiosyncratic minimal electronic music from ’98 - for a long time unsung outside of a small but passionate network of eggheads but here to help save the world now?!!
It's frankly just exactly what we want to hear... an extremely unusual and arty but consummate collaging of disruptive clicks ’n cuts, ballistic tekno R&D, and a more numinous, melancholic, post-industrial pastoral-psychedelia (!) - think Germ, Oval, Torsten Pröfrock’s Dynamo etc but then spliced with the kind of quasi-medieval flutes, watercolour synth and folk-guitar wooze you might expect to hear from, I dunno, Blod or Harmonia '76 (!).
Perhaps a little lost at the time by amid all the less subtle IDM cabbage flying around, this Jürgen De Blonde-produced set is now rightly reborn and re-contextualised, on 2LP, as a true outlier-masterpiece, thoroughly deserving of its place in the slim but staggeringly on-point Cortizona catalogue next to such profound space-time-rippers as the Noises comp, Jean Hoyoux, and the Freddie Hubbard Quintet's Live In Zonderschot.
